Appointments
Our office does take walk-ins, but it is highly recommended an appointment be made to speak or meet with a Veterans Service Officer (VSO), the Community Outreach Coordinator, or the Office Manager.
Disability License Plates
Illinois offers two (2) types of Disabled Veteran License Plates
Veteran Designation on Driver's License
The state of Illinois offers disabled veterans a property tax exemption depending on their level of service connected disability:
30% - 50%: $2500 off of the Equalized Assessed Value (EAV)
50% - 70%: $5000 off of the EAV
70% - 100%: Property Tax Exempt up to $250,000 EAV

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to submit a Benefits Summary Letter with your application every year, unless you are rated 100% Permanent and Total. These letters can be obtained by calling the VA at 1-800-827-1000 or accessing your personal VA.gov account.
